Q: Is there a quick way to sort the drop-down values to show the MINUS (negative) values first in the list? Right now it seems to list the "+" options first.
A: In order to sort the drop-down values to show minus values first, this can be done from the admin panel Catalog -> Attributes -> Manage Attributes.
